COVID-19 Wisconsin Update #118 (7-29-20 PM)
Updated numbers from Wednesday July 29th, 2020
The Department of Health Services (DHS) released the following updated numbers for Wednesday July 29th, 2020:
- Cumulatively there have been 902,440 COVID-19 tests in Wisconsin;

- 51,049 positive tests and 851,391 negative tests in Wisconsin (5.7 % positive rate for the pandemic)
- On Wednesday there were 870 positive tests reported on 14,694 tests (5.9% positive rate Wednesday)
- 51,049 positive tests and 851,391 negative tests in Wisconsin (5.7 % positive rate for the pandemic)
- Deaths from COVID-19 are at 911 in Wisconsin.

- There were 5 deaths reported on Wednesday

- 40,416 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are listed as having recovered (79%), 9,704 cases are still considered active (19%) and 911 patients have died (2%). (last updated by DHS on 7/29)

- City of Appleton (mayor issued advisory proclamation)

- Barron County (public health message encouraging mask wearing)

- Eau Claire City Council
- Glendale City Council
- City of Oshkosh
- Rock County (a resolution in support of wearing masks could be before county board on Aug. 13th)
Ordinances/Requirements for public/government buildings:
- City of Appleton city-owned buildings
- Clark County (employees and visitors have to wear masks in Clark county government buildings, effective 7/27)
- City of Janesville
- City of Manitowoc (Manitowoc Common Council voted 8-2 to require face masks to be worn in city-owned facilities, effective 7/27)
- City of Neenah (Mayor Dean Kaufert is requiring all city workers to wear masks)
- Outagamie County county-owned buildings
- Racine County (Effective 7/23 employees and visitors enter county facilities need to wear a mask)
- Rock County
